A BLUE AND WHITE BOTTLE VASE
TRANSITIONAL PERIOD, CIRCA 1630-1650
The vase is finely potted with a bulbous lower section and surmounted by a tall garlic neck. The body is painted in vibrant shades of cobalt blue with a continuous scene of scholars and attendants. The neck is painted with upright clusters of flowers.
