YONGZHENG SIX-CHARACTER MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE WITHIN A DOUBLE CIRCLE AND OF THE PERIOD (1723-1735)
The jar is of globular form, with a short neck. The exterior of the body is delicately enamelled with five roundels depicting coiled five-clawed dragons amidst flames and clouds, separated by clusters of stylised lotus scrolls and ruyi heads. The shoulder is decorated with the Eight Buddhist Emblems, set between two bands of ruyi heads.
