A GUAN-TYPE VASE, HU
GUANGXU SIX-CHARACTER MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE AND OF THE PERIOD (1875-1908)
The vase has a wide body that tapers towards the quatrefoil mouth rim, and is moulded on each side with peach-shaped cartouches. A lug handle is applied to either side of the neck. The vase is covered overall with a pale bluish-green glaze suffused with a fine pattern of clear and light brown crackle which continues on the base.
