A FAMILLE ROSE 'IMMORTALS' LANTERN VASE
JIAQING/DAOGUANG PERIOD (1796-1850)
The vase is delicately enamelled to the body with a continuous scene depicting the Eight Daoist Immortals crossing the sea, each holding their individual attributes. The scene is set between two ruyi-head borders with multi-coloured lotus sprays reserved against a ruby sgraffiato ground.
