A PAIR OF FAMILLE ROSE 'BOYS' BOWLS
EARLY 20TH CENTURY
Each bowl is potted with deep rounded sides rising to a flaring mouth rim, supported on a short tapered foot. The exterior of each bowl is delicately painted with a riverside scene depicting five boys at play, with two further boys in the distance holding lanterns. The underside of each bowl bears a Qianlong four-character seal mark in iron-red within a single square.
