ATTRACTIVELY BOUND STUDY of Chinese bronzes in the private collection of Baron Sumitomo, one of the most important collections in Japan in the early twentieth century. The study was undertaken by Professors of Kyoto Imperial University in order to establish a working hypothesis regarding the historical development of Chinese bronzes. The set consists of 2 vols of explanatory notes in English, and 5 plate vols captioned in Japanese, each plate showing one bronze item from the collection. (7)
