Bei diesem Bild von Alexandre Perrier handelt es sich um eines der Hauptwerke der symbolistischen Zeit. Es gehört zur Trilogie 'Vie et mort du poète', wovon das Bild 'Vie du poète' verschollen ist und auch keine Abbildung bekannt ist. Dargestellt ist das Ufer des Genfersees bei Clarens, im Hintergrund erkennt man den Grammont.

This painting by Alexandre Perrier is one of the masterpieces of the Symbolist period. It is part of the trilogy 'Vie et mort du poète' of which the painting 'Vie du poète' is missing and no image is known. The shores of Lake Geneva in Clarens are depicted; in the background Le Grammont is visible.
