THREE JADE PLAQUES
18TH/19TH CENTURY
The first is a white jade circular plaque, decorated to both sides with stylised double xi characters, bordered by lotus flowers and geometric decoration. The second is a celadon jade rectangular plaque decorated to one side with a standing warrior wearing armour and holding a spear, the reverse is incised with three lines of calligraphy. The third is a further celadon rectangular plaque carved in high relief to one side with a bearded scholar holding scrolls in a pine grove, the reverse is incised with three lines of calligraphy, signed Zi Gang.

Provenance
From a Private East Asian Collector (d. 1994).
The third: acquired in 1989 in Hong Kong from a private collector.
