A CLOISONNÉ ENAMEL 'DRAGON AND PHOENIX' DISH
LATE 16TH CENTURY
The dish is decorated to the interior with a dragon and a phoenix encircling a flaming pearl amidst cloud scrolls and scattered auspicious objects, the exterior and the base are embellished with lotus heads and scrolling foliage.
9 7/8 in. (25.2 cm.) diam.
