REPUBLIC PERIOD (1912-49)
The vase is decorated with a mountainous, rocky river landscape that depicts brightly robed scholars at leisure in pavilions within bamboo groves, pine trees and children fishing and playing with toy boats, all between decorative bands and keyfret scroll. The base with an apocryphal overglaze blue enamel four-character Qianlong nian zhi mark.
