A PALE CELADON AND RUSSET JADE PHOENIX
QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795)
The bird is carved seated with its head turned to the back and holding a branch of peony in its beak. The wings and tail plumage are well defined and the wings and branch are well hollowed. The stone is of a pale celadon colour, one side with russet inclusions.
