ZHENGDE FOUR-CHARCTER MARK (1506-21) AND PERHAPS OF THE PERIOD
The vessel has rounded sides and a shaped rim and rests on six cloud-form supports. It is decorated to its lobed exterior with taotie masks highlighted in turquoise, green, yellow and blue on an aubergine ground. The base is glazed green and the interior white.
