A SMALL HEXAGONAL BRUSH POT AND THREE BLUE AND WHITE BOWLS
16TH AND 17TH CENTURY
This group comprises a small hexagonal brush pot decorated to each side with a flower stalk rising from a swirled ground. Two bowls are decorated with carp swimming amongst waves and aquatic plants, one interior with a roundel enclosing lotus, the other with a roundel enclosing a carp leaping from waves. A further bowl is decorated with open-mouthed qilin with trailing scrolling clouds above a lappet band, the interior with a roundel surrounded by lotus flowers.
