A HUANGHUALI TABLE CABINET
18TH CENTURY
The two front doors and hinged cover open to reveal two pairs of narrow drawers above a wide one, all with huanghuali fronts applied with brass shaped pulls in lozenge shaped escutcheons. The exterior is applied with brass mounts to the corners and hinges and further applied with a brass lock with cloud-shaped hasp and circular lock plate. The front doors are applied with brass vase-shaped pulls. Two loop handles are applied to the sides. The wood is of a yellowish brown tone with natural grain and some ghost head striations.
