TWO CELADON AND RUSSET JADE 'HORSE AND MONKEY' GROUPS
19TH/20TH CENTURY
Each horse is tethered to a post and stands four-square on a rocky, rectangular base before a crouching monkey with a whisk; the first is pale celadon in tone with areas of russet inclusions, the second is predominantly russet in tone.
The larger 5¼ in. (13.3 cm.) long
Provenance
Private UK Collection acquired in Hong Kong in the 1950s.
