AN IMPERIAL YELLOW SILK BROCADE 'DRAGON' SCROLL COVER
GUANGXU PERIOD (1875-1908)
The yellow ground is woven in gilt thread with a shaped cartouche enclosing two confronting five-clawed dragons writhing about a flaming pearl amidst cloud scrolls. Each corner is embellished with a peony spray, all within a scrolling border. Silk lining.
