JIAQING IRON RED FOUR-CHARACTER SEAL MARK AND OF THE PERIOD (1796-1820) DAOGUANG IRON RED FOUR-CHARACTER SEAL MARK AND OF THE PERIOD (1821-50)
The first is decorated with sailing boats in a mountainous river landscape with clouds before a temple complex named Yun shan wan zhang, a poetic inscription to the reverse. The second fluted bowl is decorated with a mountainous river landscape with pavilions and bridges in a gated temple complex named Dong Hu Ye Yue, a poetic inscription to the reverse.

Lot Essay

The first bowl is inscribed with an excerpt from a poem by the Tang poet Cen Shen.
The second bowl is inscribed with an excerpt from a poem by the Ming poet Wu Zishi.
