THREE CELADON JADE CARVINGS AND A WHITE JADE PLAQUE
18TH/19TH CENTURY
The first is a circular plaque surmounted by scrolling clouds, decorated with a boy and a magpie to one side and a further smiling boy to the reverse, with calligraphy. The second is a shaped oval plaque decorated in high relief with an Immortal on a raft to one side, a seal mark to the reverse. The third is a celadon and russet jade carving of a lotus pod issuing leafy tendrils and flowers, with a small bird perched to one side. The fourth is a white jade plaque of irregular form, decorated to one side with an incised crane in flight above a lingzhi and flowers, the reverse with a seated figure amongst vessels.
