FOUR JADE CARVINGS
MING DYNASTY (1368-1644) AND LATER
The first is a pale celadon jade pendant shaped as a butterfly with its wings spread perched on a flowering branch. The second is a celadon circular plaque, decorated to one side with an incised flowering prunus branch and with a seal mark to the reverse. The third is a carved and pierced plaque depicting two phoenix surmounting a cartouche with archaic script. The fourth is an openwork white jade 'melon group' carved with two fruiting melons and leafy tendrils.
