Of rectangular form with two tiers, decorated in takamaki-e, hiramaki-e, kirigane and mother-of-pearl inlays on a nashiji ground, with young aristocrats talking with their servants beside Ise shrine, the sides with hovering butterflies, the interior in black lacquer with further butterflies to the interior of the cover and the first tier, slate inkstone with fundame rims, copper waterdropper
