O Gishi [Wang Xizhi (303-361AD)] is one of the great masters of calligraphy. This inro depicts the historical event at the Orchid Pavilion on 3rd March in 353AD when O Gishi held a drinking party of Kyokusui. He wrote a preface for the poems written at the party called Rantei-jo which became one of the most copied pieces in Chinese calligraphy.
