Tapering sides with spreading foot, applied girdle below later engraved neo-classical coat of arms, domed cover, chairback thumbpiece, handle terminating in a ribbed escutcheon, base inscribed at much later date JOHN LEE 1760 and TOTTENHAM LEE 1794, the latter date probably that of the coat of arms
