20th Century with earlier components
The armour is made after the Edo period Kamakura restoration style, the helmet a twenty-two plate hemispherical iron sujibachi [ridged bowl], the hachimanza [surround to aperture at crown] of three integral gilt tiers, brass kuwagata [stylized horns] and large round maedate [forecrest] of a mon [badge], leather-clad peak and fukigaeshi [turn-backs] to the three-tier shittsukezane [plates simulating laced scales], shikoro [neck guard], iron menpo [mask] with three tier shittsukezane yodare-kake [bib], the nimaido [two-part cuirass] of shittsukezane with matching seven-tasset kusazuri [skirt], matching osode [shoulder guards], substantial iron shinogote [sleeves] with integral three-plate ko-sode [minor shoulder guards] and silver-inlaid scrolling, Iyozane haidate [thigh guard], and gold-lacquered iron sheet suneate [lower leg guards].
