THIRD QUARTER 18TH CENTURY
The oval plate within a moulded giltwood surround decorated with alternating faceted blue glass and clear parcel-gilt glass studs, with central baluster shaft and star-cut domed canopy hung with droplets above a gilded bowl issuing three upspringing branches and two scroll handle-branches hung with droplets, with two star-cut drip-pan nozzles, with domed lower finial hung with droplets, the backboard inscribed in ink '139', the receiver-bowl and branches lettered 'A-E', restorations and replacements
30½ in. (77.5 cm.) high; 18¼ in. (46.5 cm.) wide; 12 in. (30.5 cm.) deep
