A mirror dated circa 1740 of similar profile and with closely related foliage pendants and moulding, is illustrated in C. Gilbert, Furniture at Temple Newsam House and Lotherton Hall, Bradford, 1978, p. 208, pl. 262. Interestingly, the following entry features a walnut mirror with virtually identical eagle cresting circa 1745. That mirror's plate has a stamp which indicates a possible date of 1876.
