MID-19TH CENTURY, THE MOTHER-OF-PEARL AND TORTOISESHELL PANELS SPANISH COLONIAL AND RE-USED
Inlaid overall with flowers and foliate scrolls, the hinged lid enclosing a divided and red velvet-lined interior fitted for sewing implements and retaining four engraved mother-of-pearl covers and twelve mother-of-pearl and ivory bobbins, with silvered hinges and lock, the latter stamped 'CHUBB PATENT 7 ST PAULS CHYD LONDON 171814' and 'CHUBB & SON MAKER TO HER MAJESTY', minor losses
