Ovoid, centring an oval panel depicting Saint Helena, raising her hand and dressed in elaborate Byzantine vestments adorned with pearls, below a gilt inscription in Russian 'St Tsar[evna] El[ena]', on purple ground with a gilt cross in the background, the reverse painted with an oxblood cross on ciselé gilt ground centring the image of Christ raising his hand in benediction, the sides decorated with gilt and varicoloured scrolling foliage on white ground, unmarked
