AN EASTERN MEDITERRANEAN CORE-FORMED GLASS AMPHORISKOS
CIRCA LATE 6TH-EARLY 5TH CENTURY B.C.
Dark blue in color with swirls of red, the ovoid body with rounded shoulders, a cylindrical neck and an inward-sloping rim, opaque yellow and turquoise threads wound spirally around the body, marvered and tooled into a zigzag pattern, with yellow and turquoise bands below, yellow and turquoise on the rim, with twin blue vertical handles and a base knob
