The obverse with a warrior driving a quadriga to the right, clad in a chiton, armed with a high-crested Corinthian helmet, a shield and two spears, holding the reins in his right hand; the reverse with a departure scene, a warrior in the center facing left, armed with a crested Corinthian helmet, a spear and a circular shield with a leg as the blazon, flanked by two himation-clad men holding staffs; both scenes with double bands of ivy on either side; tongues above, rays above the foot, double ivy on the exterior of the rim, boars and lions in black silhouette on the upper surface of the rim, scrolling palmettes on the handle-plates; details in added white and red
