The tondo with a bust of Hermes in profile to the left, wearing a pilos secured with a chin-strap and a chlamys over his shoulders fastened with a circular brooch, holding a kerykeion in his right hand, enclosed within two reserved bands; one side of the exterior with a draped female moving left, a stele before her, a wreath in the field behind; the other side with a nude male striding right, a stele before him, a wreath in the field behind; with palmettes below and flanking the handles
