Modeled as either a seated male and female, the female with a suckling puppy, each with a bow-tied belled collar, on a molded foot applied with flowers and foliage, the rocaille bases, the ormolu with red inventory marks, WM in block print and 'C' couronne poincon

Lot Essay

Kändler's Taxa for June 1944 notes "2 neue Mopss Hunde auf einem Rasen sitzend, angefangen zu poussiren und selbigen die gehörige Action und Gestalt gegeben, welche hernach dem Bildhauer Reinicken vollends fertigen lassen". That for December of the same year includes a description of the female pendant, both models corresponding to the present examples.
