Lot Essay

With its elegantly scrolled arms embellished with beading, this chandelier shares similarities with a pair of chandeliers sold Le Gout Steinitz, III, Christie's, London, 6 December 2007, lot 454 (£78,500). A single chandelier of slightly more elaborate trellis frame but similarly sophisticated lines was sold Christie's, London, 7 July 2011, lot 635 (£79,250).
