Chased in very high relief with the drunken Silenus, after Rubens, with attendant male and female figures, a centaur draining a bottle, a playful dog, carousing satyr and to one side Death with his scythe, vine handle, the cover with bearded satyr mask flanked by clusters of grapes, his two curled horns forming the thumbpiece, gilt interior, tapering sides and oval base, the latter centred by a nut
