the leaf painted with a shepherd and shepherdess dancing in a glade, the verso with a lady in a landscape, the ivory sticks carved, pierced and gilt with vases of flowers and musical instruments, one guardstick set with a portrait miniature of a gentleman who raises his hat as a concealed lever is moved, the other with a lady with a canary, (the mechanism on this second portrait is not working) - 11in. (27.5cm.), French, circa 1760, (worn, mica on the miniatures cracked)
