A FINE IRON-RED DECORATED BLUE AND WHITE BOWL
QIANLONG SIX-CHARACTER SEAL MARK AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-1795)
The exterior is decorated with four evenly spaced Indian lotus in overglaze iron-red, each floral bloom surrounded by leaves and borne on curled stems in underglaze-blue. The decoration is bordered by a single circle above the foot ring and double-circles below the mouth rim.

Compare to an identical example in the Nanjing Museum, illustrated in Treasures in the Royalty: The Official Kiln Porcelain of the Chinese Qing Dynasty, Shanghai, 2003, p. 245. Another pair of identical bowls from the Yiqingge Collection was sold at Christie's Hong Kong, 1 June 2011, lot 3742.
