Cal. 13''' mechanical lever movement stamped twice with the Geneva seal, 23 jewels, silvered matte dial, applied gold baton numerals, outer 5 minutes divisions, two subsidiary dials for constant seconds and 30 minutes register, circular case, flat bezel, snap on back, later modified lugs, two rectangular chronograph buttons in the band, case, dial and movement signed

With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with silvered dial, raised hour markers in gold in 1941 and its subsequent sale on 13 February 1942.

Reference 533 was introduced into the market in 1937 and is distinguished by the elegant look of its Calatrava case with the typical flat bezel. The model is illustrated in Patek Philippe Wristwatches by Martin Huber & Alan Banbery, second edition, p. 264.
