WWW.ARTWORLD.XXX is an actual web domain owned by Yason Banal, artist and curator for Hello it's Me, Goodbye: Andy Warhol's Cinema, part of the Hong Kong tour of 15 Minutes Eternal, a Warhol retrospective by The Andy Warhol Museum. Paired with Banal's Sovereign Prize-nominated photographic still, Post-Warhol, Tate Modern, the entire artwork reflects Banal's critically acclaimed multi-disciplinary, and often audience-participatory, portfolio of works to this date. The URL of WWW.ARTWORLD.XXX originally led to an open web domain for sale, revealing itself as a portal of and for commerce and transactions. This site was later purchased by Banal in a bid to interact performatively with a slice of provocatively titled cyber real estate. It suggests the idea of the artworld as a domain unto itself, a specific yet amorphous realm and available to the highest bidder.
