拍品專文

With its exquisite Chinoiserie figures and trailing flower decoration embellished by giltwood moldings, this mirror is a rare testimony of the shortly-lived verre eglomisé fashion in France in the early 1700's. Only a few examples have survived. These include a mirror from the Weiller Collection with related but more elaborate Chinoiserie decoration and a red ground, sold Sotheby's, Monaco, 15 June 1996, lot 129 and another sold Christie's, London, 6 July 2006, lot 185.
