A WHITE JADE 'FINGER CITRON' VASE
QING DYNASTY, 19TH CENTURY
The tall slender vase is naturalistically carved as a large finger citron and a smaller finger citron borne on a thick, gnarled stem forming the base, with the curved ends of the 'fingers' forming the openwork rim. The semi-translucent stone is of white tone with a streak of pale grey inclusion.
