A CARVED JADEITE FIGURE OF MAGU
LATE QING DYNASTY
The stone is carved in the form of a standing figure of a female immortal, Magu, dressed in a voluminous robe holding a lingzhi sprig in one hand, accompanied by a horse standing foursquare, emanating a wisp of smoke from its mouth which transforms into a lingzhi spray supporting a yinyang symbol. The stone ranges from a pale yellowish-celadon to apple-green and russet-brown tone.
