The teapot is well potted with a compressed angular body applied with a C-shaped handle and gently curved spout. The body is delicately carved to the upper section with a riverscape detailed with figures and trees on gently sloping hills, the lower section with swallows in flight amid bamboo trees. The base is impressed with a Qianlong seal mark within a square. The domed cover surmounted by a rounded finial is moulded with a band of classic scrolls.
