A WHITE JADE QUATREFOIL VASE
QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795)
The vase is formed of four conjoined lobes. The exterior is carved in shallow relief with four pairs of intertwined archaistic phoenix in-between raised borders, repeated above the low foot and on the angular shoulder. The tapered neck of conforming lobes is decorated with four stylised cicada below the lipped mouth rim.
