AN EMBELLISHED JADEITE PEACH-SHAPED BOX AND COVER
QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY
The box and cover are carved in relief as two peaches growing on a leafy branch. The cover is inlaid with tourmaline flowers, a ruby matrix bud, two coral bats and a citrine quartz butterfly. The sides and base incised with twigs, buds and leaves with traces of lacquer inlay. The stone is of an apple-green tone.
