Krishna seated on a plush throne with the flute raised to his lips, dressed in a floral-patterned dhoti and adorned with pearl necklaces and sashes, his face in profile with curly locks of hair and a jeweled headdress with a peacock feather backed by a green and gold halo, with fruit-laden trees and three cows standing behind a fence listening attentively, a green hilly background with a pavilion in the distance

The profile of Krishna's face is imbued with all the lavish and splendid detail characteristic of Kishangarh painting, with the mannerist elongation of features extending from the long nose up into the pointed peacock feather and slightly ovoid nimbus.
