Watercolour heightened with gold on paper, depicting various people standing, some panels with English identification inscription on reverse, including "Gowrie Bramin Vishnoo - Sacred Water Carrier from the Ganges; Kurkur (?) Moondah inflincting wounds on himself to extract charity; [..] Coolies Grasscutters; Byragees or religious [..]doos from the upper parts of India called Hindostan.. they carry gours for drinking and mats on which they sleep; Pundarum Lingam; Cowherds selling milk and ghee or clarifying butter", each individually mounted
