Opaque pigments heightened with gold on paper, a Sikh ruler seated opposite his consort smoking a water pipe, set inside a walled palace compound with soldiers outside, set in wide red margins with fine black rules, the later added nasta'liq inscription identifying the ruler as Gulab Singh
