Lot Essay

With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 1951 and its subsequent sale on August 27th of the following year.

To the best of our knowledge this watch has never before been offered in public.

Reference 2482 was produced from 1950 through 1960, and was made with a variety of dials, including enamelled dials with portraits or geographic maps. A total of around 600 watches were made, of which 500 were made in yellow gold and 100 in pink gold.

Examples of the reference 2482 are illustrated in Patek Philippe Wristwatches by M. Huber & A. Banbery, 1998 edition, pgs. 205 & 206.
