The white enamel dial with black Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds, the three quarter plate frosted keyless movement with bimetallic balance, lever escapement mounted on rotating carriage with rose-cut diamond end stone to the centre, with swivel pendant, in plain case with maker's mark SS, hallmarked London 1899, case diameter 54mm, dial cracked
The dial signed Smith & Son, 9 Strand, London, 189-254, repeated on the movement, the movement engraved No. 189-254 Kew certificate class. A. 70.6 Marks, London, makers to Admiralty & Indian Govement, with two Royal warrants
