FIRST EDITION, FIRST ISSUE, with plates watermarked 1826-1827. This fundamental work on Australian botany features plates by Edwin Dalton Smith, one of the most renowned botanical artists of the time. Sweet was a prominent promoter of exotic botany, and the drawings were done from live plants grown from seed in London.
