I appreciate very much your efforts, and congratulate you upon the attractive edition you have produced in spite of the many difficulties in the publishing business. I hope your efforts will be crowned with success." Emery Reves was Churchill's agent for the foreign-language publication and serializations of his memoirs. The French edition by Bourdel's Librarire Plon was one of 19 foreign language editions of Churchill's memoirs.
